The Institute is currently building its first projects for 2026–2027. If you are an artist, curator, researcher, or institution interested in collaborating, we want to hear from you.
Project formats:
Curatorial projects
Exhibitions in partnership with European galleries, kunsthalles, and independent spaces that center Latin American contemporary practices.
Residencies
Artist and researcher mobility programs between Europe and Latin America, creating conditions for production and exchange outside institutional gatekeeping.
Publications & research
Critical texts, reading groups, and collaborative research exploring Latin American art in transnational frameworks.
Public programming
Talks, screenings, and encounters that open institutional conversations to broader publics in Berlin and beyond.
LATAM MAFIA is built on collaboration. We do not produce alone we work with artists, curators, researchers, and institutions who share an interest in expanding the conditions under which Latin American contemporary art circulates.
We are open to proposals, partnerships, and joint initiatives. If you have a project, a space, or an idea, get in touch.
